Teacher of the Year for 2016/2017

Reid Ross Classical School is proud to recognize Ms. Donna Wiles as the“Teacher of the Year” for the 2016-2017 school year!Ms. Wiles voted Teacher of the Year by he peers.
Donna Wiles is the upper- level high school mathematics teacher at Reid Ross Classical School.
She served in the US Army as a Biomedical Equipment Repairer and afterward began to pursue
an education in teaching with a desire to “make a difference” in the lives of young people. Ms. Wiles
graduated from Fayetteville State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades
Education with a concentration in Mathematics. As an “older” graduate, she began teaching at Anne
Chesnutt Middle School. Ms. Wiles received licensure in high school mathematics and transferred
to Reid Ross Classical School in 2012, In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Wiles has been
an integral part in the School Improvement Team and Professional Development in “flipping the
classroom” and using technology to reach today’s learners. Ms. Wiles often says, “It doesn’t matter
to our students how much you know unless they know how much you care.”
